This was being sold by a avenue vendor in Pohang, South Korea for $10.00. My friends bought it and they did last at least one year. One of my friends went to the Philippines and it got stolen during a hijacking. The robbers couldn't tell the original from that made in South Korea.

I wanted something sponge-looking that coordinated with my suits and wasn't overly bulky. The stainless steel consummate is glorious, especially after a quick once-over with a bit of jewelry cleaner.
More than a status symbol, the Rolex Submariner is a genuinely extraordinary timepiece that evokes professionalism and a classic sense of taste and style. It goes with everything, clothing-about, from the business casual to the snappiest designer suit. Sometimes the product DOES justify the cost out, and a Rolex belongs squarely in that category.

Is it bona fide?
I bought a honourableness imitation Rolex Submariner Oyster Perpetual Date wrist watch when I was in Davao Municipality, Mindanao, Philippines, on Thursday 30 July 2009. I only paid 1,000 PHP for it (about 15 euros). I bargained it down in expenditure from 2,500 PHP because I knew it was an imitation. But it is a good watch for 15 euros. It is self-winding. It feels a bit grave.
It was sold to me by a street-hawker in the Aldovinco area of Davao city.
Beware of buying impersonation Rolex watches from dubious sources on the internet.
It is better to go to an authorised Rolex dealer if you want the legitimate article and if money is no object to you.

Significant watch but not perfect!
For this gracious of money I expected the dam watch to keep a correct time. This thing is always 10 min behind?!!! I took it in for guarantee repair 3 times already for the same issue. If it was a car, under lemon law, I would have my money back by now ;)
It's a great looking watch but only if it could have done what it was take to do.

Did you recently suffer the loss of your job? Has your wife left you for the mailman? Does your left big toe have a fungal infection? If you answered yes to all of these then preferably of making an irrational purchase just to make you feel better I would suggest buying this clock. It is a fine timepiece and if you wear it then you are less likely to want to end your life by cutting your brachial capillary. And hey, isn't that worth the price of this watch?!

This attend to has changed my life
I must accept that I originally purchased this watch because it looked so cool, but I was so moved by the experience of wearing it, that I irrefutable that I would learn how to tell time myself. Previously my staff just told me what time it was whenever I asked, but there was fair-minded something about this watch that motivated me to discover more. This watch stands above many of its competitors, in that it has both a big hand (for minutes) and a not any hand (for hours). This watch has shown me that there is way more to life than just buying things for the gain of buying things. I now motivated to learn more. I am now considering learning how to read and possibly even information how to write. The days of my servants composing watch reviews for me may soon be over.

This is an remarkable watch, with a very unique appearance. Although it is large, even by today's standards, it somehow doesn't appear ungainly or cumbersome on the wrist. However, it is very thick, and you have to be extra careful not to bang it on doors or furniture. The face is far more clear than the pictures suggest. The lettering and decorations on the dial are a beautiful dark blue, not dismal.
Zenith makes all of their movements "in house", unlike many other manufacturers who rely on outside suppliers such as ETA or Sellita. This adds to the exclusivity of this keep a weather eye open for. If you have it serviced regularly, expect it to be accurate within +/- 1.5 sec. per day. The power reserve is around 55 hours.
You can bear up it swimming, showering, camping, etc. without fear of damage; it's tough! However, the beautiful carbon string bezel CAN chip, if enough force is applied, but accidental drops and hits are OK. The crystal is pseudo sapphire, not Hesalite, as it reads in the description.
The only serious flaw I am able to detect is that it is a very silly keep one's eyes peeled and I don't like it.

Scant Listing of Item, IMO
I don't fantasize adequate information is being given for a Rolex Daytona/Cosmograph timepiece.
First, there should be a model number, i.e. the first word for word of the serial number. The later Daytonas which have the serial numer on the Rehaut of the watch are predominantly considered to be more valuable.
Second, if the timepiece is an older series Daytona, this means it has been sitting around for some days with the original lubricants drying up.
Third, I think it's only ethical to list the current retail penalty for a Stainless Steel Daytona. My understanding is sthat the full retail from an authorized dealer (AD) is $9,925. I react to that Daytonas sell for more than the retail on the grey maket... and I know that ADs only receive about 2 per year, thus creating a customer acceptance wanted that exceeds supply and hence the higher price. However, I believe than an AD can only charge the retail price.
Fourth, I don't maintain it states clearly whether this is a new or pre-owned watch.
Lastly, there should be a firm statement whether the watch is being purchased through an AD, and hence would have the Rolex guaranty... otherwise who knows whether or not the watch store can provide any type of Rolex level repair, which... if they don't have a Rolex-trained put back in person with about $100,000 investment of genuine Rolex tools, lubricants, availability to genuine Rolex parts, etc... they may well not.
All in all, for a clock in this price range I don't think Amazon is doing their job in protecting their customers.

Why am i paying $12,000?!
Ok, i give this make 2 stars not because I own one, but I have a question... Why is this watch $12,000 and not have a single piece of gold on it? If I was common to buy a rolex that costed that much money, I want the watch to be made of gold! Can someone explain why this watch cost this much? What is so distinctive about this? Maybe i need to be educated?

Technology commonsensical Rolex watches are completely outdated. Not only should you be able to expect %99.9999 (four nines) accuracy for several hundred years including getting without question jump at years right without any human interaction and day time savings using a one time set up, you should also be skilled to expect to never bring a watch back to a repair/maintenance shop over its life time (25-50 years reduced). Rolex watches are like GM cars right now, they constantly require maintenance. This is not a sign of standing but of failure. The materials used in Rolex watches are top of the line, but time keeping technology perceptive these watches are at least 50 years behind.
Rolex: build a watch which lasts 100 years without any support and I'll pay a ton of bucks for it with the great design you have now. Self-winding, solar, climate independent, whatever, at least adopt new technology and understand how to elevate $1 quartz or analog technology to something which is worth of of the name Rolex. Strategic now we got lip stick on a pig.

$8000 for a watch over with no date??
I was on the waiting roster for one these watches for about 2 years. When I got the call, and I promptly went to my local Authorized Dealer and promptly plunked down $7900 + tax. I already owned a submariner, so I winsome much new what I was getting, but then realized this watch has no freakin' date. I wore it for about 2 months and decided that not having the phase annoyed me to no end. Really Rolex, $7900 and no date?? My Breitling Crosswind Chronograph has it, so how hard could it be to add it in? I sold it on ebay for $10,000. The upper crust part of owning this watch was when I sold it. End of story.
Now I need sell my Breitling, what a piece of crap. If you neediness a great high end watch, get a Blancpain instead.
